Patrons are expected to adhere to this Code of Conduct to maintain a harmonious, safe, and respectful environment that upholds the values and mission of this private Patrons-only civic club. This section outlines the standards of behavior required during Events, on The Club’s Premises, and in all interactions related to The Club’s activities, ensuring compliance with Texas law, including the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Liquor License, and protecting the interests of The Club, its Members, and fellow Patrons.
Patrons shall conduct themselves with courtesy, integrity, and respect toward all individuals, including other Patrons, Members, successors, guests, and any staff or volunteers engaged by The Club. Physical contact, conversation, or any direct engagement with another Patron requires full, explicit, and voluntary consent, as defined in Section 5, reaffirmed here as a cornerstone of The Club’s community—consent must be actively given for each instance, revocable at any time, and never assumed based on prior interactions or context, including alcohol consumption. Patrons shall refrain from aggressive, harassing, or discriminatory behavior, including but not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, or actions based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics, in accordance with applicable Texas and federal laws.
Alcohol consumption, as governed by Section 7, shall be moderate and responsible—Patrons must not engage in excessive drinking that impairs judgment, disrupts Events, or endangers safety, such as driving under the influence, with violations subject to immediate intervention by The Club. The use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances on The Club’s Premises or at Events is strictly prohibited, and any attempt to provide alcohol or other substances to minors under twenty-one (21) will result in swift disciplinary action per Section 15. Patrons shall respect The Club’s property and that of its Premises, refraining from vandalism, theft, or unauthorized use, with responsibility for damages outlined in Section 14.
Compliance with all Event-specific rules, announced by The Club via email, postings, or verbal instructions at the time of the Event, is mandatory, including dress codes, activity guidelines, and designated areas for interaction or alcohol service. Patrons shall maintain confidentiality regarding The Club’s operations, Patron identities, and Event details, as detailed in Section 11, and avoid disclosing such information to non-Patrons without Member approval. Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct, as determined by the Members in their sole discretion, may lead to warnings, suspension, or termination of Patron status under Section 15, with The Club reserving the right to involve law enforcement if conduct violates Texas law (e.g., assault, intoxication-related offenses). By participating in The Club, Patrons commit to upholding these standards, fostering a community of mutual respect, consent, and civic integrity.
The Club may modify or clarify behavioral expectations at any time, with or without prior notice, to preserve safety, uphold consent culture, or comply with legal or operational developments, with such clarifications deemed binding upon communication through email, Event briefings, official postings, or verbal instruction by Members or designated Leadership.
